Thanksgiving Party

Damn, those Pilgrims had it going on -- big harvest party, lots of turkey, plenty of wine (right?), and some rockstar desserts, no? Well, we did the holiday deal this year, invited a bunch of folks and did it up right.

Julie did a magnificent job setting up for the day. We mobbed for the preceding 24 hours, cleaning building furniture, and preparing. I worked on the turkey; I learned alot about bird anatomy. Julie worked up some dishes from our garden, as well as setting the tone to consider always where your food comes from (whether its the geography, labor, chef, or something else).

Folks brought their own special dishes and it was fantastic. We even had a special visit from some, ah, little pilgrims and indians (pic to right). Yes, those are little potatoes and tomatoes wearing little First Thanksgiving get-ups. It seems one of our friends is as crafty as they come.

Of course, we wish we were able to get you all out here to join us for the feast. Missed you all and there's always a seat at the table.
