Seems that big plans for the holidays incents us to get stuff done around here. So, a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, we make plans to take apart the front room and make it a little more usable. That meant removing the ridiculous sliding glass door that someone installed. Don't ask why, it was here when we got the house. And then, reframing the opening. Oh, and new drywall. And what about a couple of outlets (okay, they're not done yet). Plus, we got a couple of things for the room to make it into storage, coat closet, arts & crafts (the things, not the style).
The closet and table with bench you see in the pic we built in the last 24 hours before company showed up on Thursday. It's all Ikea style, so nothing too intense. Still, that stuff takes time. It was a late night. It is nice to have some storage space; we really didn't have that downstairs. Plus, we'll have a space to work on projects without trashing the dining room anymore!
