With Liberty and Justice for all...

Our good friend Lucie became a US citizen this week. Julie and I were able to attend her naturalization ceremony and came to a party for her this weekend. "Dress as American as you can" was her request. So, we came as Liberty and Justice. We even had a little show for the pledge of allegiance (Lucie remembered it, after a little crowd help), where we were able to use our costumes to full effect. That should explain the big cross in my hand. And, while it may not come across in the pic, Julie made that costume and put little tiny people in the top of Lady Liberty's head dress (you know, you used to be able to go up in the statue and look out). It was perfect.

Oh, by the way, Lucie's outfit is a "Support the Troops" get up she bought just for the occasion. What support do you think they had in mind? Evil Kinevel is Dean, Lucie's husband. He was very American, too.
