More kitchen

Hi all,
The kitchen has fallen. Didn't take too long. Three of us with crowbars, hammers, sledges, saw-zalls, prybars, and a few other toys gave us a virtual demolished room in three days. What's more, it is now shaped like the space that we are envisioned. Larger kitchen, smaller bathroom, no separate mudroom -- it all just flows together. Yep. Very exciting to try to get it all to work.
One wall we did take down we had figured as a load bearing wall, so Casey designed and assembled a very efficient post and beam to hold it all together (or up, I guess). It's a shame, but we'll be hiding it behind drywall.
Today, we are moving out to get many materials that I have neglected to get ready... like tile, sinks, lighting, etc. I'm a bit behind on that. We'll have other work to do this week (including an HVAC installation and exterior window painting) so it won't be so bad. Well, so long for now.
