So, the man burned a few days early, the heat was oppressive, and we had two good wind storms. And it was great. Of course, Larry and Joyce had amazing costumes... again. Next year, you guys are in charge of dressing the camp. Work it Larry, work it.
Oh, and Check this link out -- it's a movie of one of the art pieces going up one night. If this doesn't work, go to you tube and search for "burning man oil derrick" and you'll get lots of hits. Check out some of the other videos for closer views. This was the biggest burn I've ever seen. The video I linked to was done from a mile away. Jesus. All in all, it was a fun trip. We ate great, built a great camp and had a fun time meeting the people, serving coffees (thanks Julie), setting up the yurt (thanks Larry), and laughing alot (thanks everyone).
