Check in on the back yard

Hi everyone,

A little update about the house work. We are going to town on the back yard to make the summer relaxation place work for use. It's a great place to dine on the patio or lounge in the hammock.

Julie put in a bunch more plants and flowers. We've leveled out a few spots, started more landscaping on the street side of the house and the sidewalk median, and done alot of work on the parking spot and gate in the back. Oh, I built the entry gate out to look like the rest of the fence (sort of).

We still have to figure out how to build a metal sliding gate for the parking spot. Once we do that, we can open up more of the backyard. It'll get rid of that ugly hurricane fence and give Emma a bit more space to run around.

There's still more to be done to landscape the space in the front and backyard. The side has really come into it's own. Lots of great flowers and just about everything is low-water (Julie picked out most of the flowers).

Well, gotta go -- heading out to the Mendocino Woods this weekend. Julie, unfortunately, will be training in SF area so she cannot go. Give her a call to keep her company!
