Cal. Academy of Sciences -- Coolest. Building. Ever.

Lots is said about green buildings and being green. And using recycled bluejeans in our kitchen project was a good thing... but nothing holds a candle to the new California Academy of Sciences building in the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It is quite possibly the most amazing project in museums as a statement on education of the public. First it speaks to the natural sciences, but the building shows a commitment to a theory of balance and a reasoned approach to how it all works together.
This picture is taken from the top of the building, which was done as a living roof. Up there it is as if you are in a meadow of rolling hills. Austin joined us for the outing and we had a wonderful day.
