Yep, we decided it would be fun to take a class together. Friends said, "Why not take one of those couples communications classes?" or "You should take a knitting class together" or "How to Play Bridge is sooooo fun." Ah, no.
So we took a class to learn to weld.
It was very cool. The place we went is a beacon for craft work in the Bay Area. It's called The Crucible and they have classes on woodworking, blacksmithing, neon glass art, jewelry making, glass blowing. And welding.
We learned four techniques (or we learned the basics). It would take a while to get good at a couple of them. Julie got excited about taking a class they offer where you build your own bicycle frame. Seemed pretty cool and that teacher was the best, too. Anyhow, much fun. Have to do things like that more often.
