Finish work and Details

Seems an endless series of tasks to complete to get this kitchen up and running. We have the majority of the floor in (ran out of slate because we had a very high breakage rate -- to be expected with stone, I am told). The dishwasher is in (thanks Dan!) and the small bits of this and that are getting done. Big thing left is the finish electrical. But most important, the circuits for the instant hot water and dishwasher are up and running. (!) Julie can push a little lever and get tea water, 180 degrees precisely, whenever she wants. This is possibly better and all the rest of the kitchen combined.

But, something is wrong with the other circuits that we had installed; I'm sure we can sort it out.
We also had the countertop installed last week. Looks better than we expected. I wish they were a little better on drilling the holes in the top behind the sink (too close to the backsplash), but they did a nice job getting it all in and fitting well. Even carved us a small hole for our composting bin.
