On Saturday morning, I went to the Team in Training kickoff. The room was buzzing with nervous excitement - many people taking on a new challenge, maybe even something they never thought - and still aren't quite convinced - that they are capable of. I met up with my friend Todd Elliott, who is my personal honoree. Last year he was diagnosed with Chronic Meliod Leukemia. Luckily, he has a type of cancer that responds well to medication and since his diagnosis, he has done a century and will soon compete a half-marathon with TNT. He and I will be racing in the Wildflower triathlon together - and he's tackling the half-iron length! TNT really does changes lives.
